It’s well-known that chiropractic can help athletes heal from injuries, but did you know it can also enhance athletic performance?
In a new study, researchers worked with 18 professional judo athletes from Brazil. They performed chiropractic adjustments on half of the athletes, and a sham treatment on the other half. The researchers then monitored the athletes’ grip strength throughout the study.
Despite the fact that both groups maintained their regular training schedules, the chiropractic group had substantially better outcomes. This study is more evidence that chiropractic improves nervous system functioning, which in turn strengthens muscles.
By keeping your nervous system working efficiently, chiropractic can provide more than just injury recovery; it can prevent injuries, enhance peak performance, and help you achieve optimal wellness.
Fortunately, you don’t have to be a professional athlete to benefit from chiropractic; contact a chiropractor near you to learn more.
